Civil Engineer (UAE National)

About the role

This position develops and implements the project programme on site in an organised and cost-effective way, in line with the approved design, quality standards and the agreed time frame. It covers both site supervision and people management, and is open to freshers.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain project drawings, assess material and manpower needs and pass the material requirements to the Purchase Department after approval
• Monitor progress against the project plan and report delays so that corrective action can be taken
• Manage the workforce, supervise the site, keep the manager informed and handle technical and engineering issues, drawing changes and extra manpower needs
• Liaise regularly with Site Management on adherence to the project programme
• Carry out quality checks with the QC Inspector and complete quality checklists
• Oversee sub-contractors, execute snag lists issued by consultants and coordinate site demobilisation on completion
• Guide and motivate subordinates, ensuring their continuous development

Required profile

• 2 to 3 years of experience in the interior contracting or construction industry; freshers can also apply
• Willingness to work on site
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering

Required skills

• Knowledge of Primavera software is preferred
