Civil & Marine Works Inspector

About the role

Parsons is seeking a skilled Inspector to oversee civil and marine construction activities in Abu Dhabi, including coastal, waterfront, and related infrastructure projects. The role involves close coordination with surveyors, material engineers and the construction team to ensure works meet design and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor construction of quay walls, jetties, breakwaters, marine structures, roads, utilities and drainage within the port/coastal zone.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, project specifications and relevant standards.
• Conduct inspections of formwork, reinforcement, concrete, structural steel, piling and marine finishes, and witness on‑site tests such as concrete strength and pile integrity.
• Monitor HSE aspects of marine works, including temporary works, over‑water lifting operations and vessel‑based activities.
• Maintain daily inspection records, issue and follow‑up non‑conformance reports, and provide progress inputs for reporting.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or degree in a related engineering field.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience inspecting marine/coastal/port and civil infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE.
• Hands‑on experience with marine structures (quay walls, breakwaters, revetments) and civil works (roads, utilities, drainage).
