Claims Specialist – Non Motor (General Insurance)

About the role

The Claims Specialist – Non Motor will manage the end‑to‑end resolution of general insurance claims across all lines of business, except motor, for Shoryuken’s digital platform. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will act as the primary advocate for clients, ensuring fair outcomes while adhering to policy terms, regulatory standards and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of insurance products, market trends and policy coverage for non‑motor lines.
• Handle the full claims lifecycle: notification, assessment, investigation, negotiation, settlement and closure.
• Ensure claims are processed accurately, efficiently and within agreed timelines and regulatory requirements.
• Provide clear guidance and regular updates to clients throughout the claims process.
• Review complex and high‑value claims, offering technical recommendations to support accurate assessments.
• Engage with insurers and internal stakeholders to achieve equitable settlements.
• Continuously improve claims processes and service delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in general insurance claims handling (non‑motor).
• Strong technical knowledge of insurance policies and claims practices.
• Excellent judgment, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex and contentious claims independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
