About the role
Provides psychosocial support to patients, families and significant others, addressing psychological, social, environmental, financial and emotional challenges. Conducts comprehensive assessments and implements interventions to improve quality of life.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily workload allocation, prioritize caseloads and supervise junior staff.
- Conduct person‑centered psychosocial assessments, develop care plans with multidisciplinary teams and maintain clinical records per JCI standards.
- Advocate for patients' wishes, promote anti‑discriminatory practice and ensure confidentiality.
- Liaise with external agencies, charities and government bodies to coordinate care.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and a postgraduate degree (Masters or higher).
- Previous experience in direct patient care within a medical/healthcare setting.
