Clinical Social Worker (Master’s) – Al Ain

About the role

Provide clinical social work services within NMC Healthcare in Al Ain, delivering comprehensive psychosocial assessment, intervention and support to patients and families in accordance with UAE health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial, cognitive and mental‑health assessments, identifying risks, coping mechanisms and safeguarding concerns.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based care plans addressing emotional, social and environmental needs.
• Provide counselling, crisis intervention, trauma‑informed care, psycho‑education and therapeutic support.
• Assess and manage suicide risk, abuse, neglect and other safeguarding issues, ensuring proper reporting and documentation.
• Collaborate with psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, nurses and case managers to deliver multidisciplinary patient care.
• Advocate for patients’ rights, autonomy and access to services throughout treatment, hospitalization and discharge.
• Coordinate referrals to community, governmental and social services, and support families and caregivers in care planning.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in line with DOH and facility policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.
• Licensure or registration to practice clinical social work in the UAE.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations such as children, elderly, persons with disabilities or mental‑health patients.
• Strong understanding of UAE health regulations, safeguarding procedures and ethical standards.
