Cluster AC Technician – Hotel HVAC Specialist

About the role

The Cluster AC Technician ensures the reliable operation of air‑conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems across the hotel’s two properties. Working on a variety of HVAC equipment, the technician supports guest comfort, energy efficiency and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on air‑conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain FCUs, AHUs, FAHUs, split AC units, package units and exhaust/ventilation systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Monitor temperature, airflow, pressure and equipment condition to ensure efficient operation.
• Respond promptly to guest room and operational maintenance requests.
• Clean and maintain filters, coils, drain lines, blowers, motors, belts and other HVAC components.
• Check refrigerant levels, identify leaks and perform refrigerant charging in line with safety and environmental standards.
• Maintain chilled‑water systems and related components.
• Assist with BMS‑related HVAC alarm troubleshooting and coordinate with the Engineering team.
• Conduct routine inspections of plant rooms, mechanical areas, guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, offices and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
• Support energy‑conservation initiatives by ensuring efficient equipment operation.

Required profile

Required skills

• Experience with fan coil units (FCU), air handling units (AHU) and fresh air handling units (FAHU).
• Proficiency in servicing split air‑conditioning units and package units.
• Knowledge of ventilation and exhaust system maintenance.
• Ability to handle refrigerants, detect leaks and perform charging safely.
• Familiarity with building management system (BMS) alarm troubleshooting.
• Competence in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
