About the role

The College President leads the institution’s academic, administrative and strategic functions, ensuring a student‑centered environment that advances liberal‑arts education for 21st‑century learners. Based in Dubai, the President serves as the chief executive officer, representing the college to the community, board and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute board‑approved strategic plans while maintaining ongoing communication with the Board of Trustees.
• Ensure sound fiscal management, securing external revenue through partnerships, special programs and projects.
• Provide faculty with the resources needed for a collaborative, technology‑rich learning system.
• Promote global and multicultural learning, acting as a visible role model for diverse student groups.
• Lead by personal energy and ideas, energizing the organization through strong interpersonal and team‑building skills.
• Maintain a strong presence in the Dubai community as the college’s representative.
• Oversee performance‑based goal setting with the Board Chair and annual performance reviews.

Required profile

• Ph.D. with at least 5 years of college teaching experience.
• Minimum 3 years as a college president or 4 years as a vice‑president at an American liberal‑arts institution.
• Demonstrated commitment to student‑centered priorities and liberal‑arts education.
• Excellent interpersonal and team‑building abilities with a visible community presence.
• Proven fiscal management skills and ability to secure external revenue.
