Commercial Administrator

About the role

The Commercial Administrator will support the Commercial Department by streamlining processes, managing contracts, and ensuring strong governance throughout the contract lifecycle. This role focuses on post‑award administration, risk mitigation, and alignment with company policies and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take over post‑award contract and purchase order administration from sales teams and manage the full contract lifecycle.
• Monitor contract performance to prevent disputes and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Coordinate with engineers and operations to verify timely fulfillment of contractual obligations, including reimbursements, testing, insurance, and bonds.
• Assist sales, engineering, procurement, logistics and other departments, as well as third‑party partners, with commercial administration tasks.
• Issue, review and approve shipping documents, manage letters of credit, insurance, and progress payments.
• Oversee expediting activities for awarded contracts and identify efficiency improvements.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain commercial process conformity with company policy, government regulations and best practices.
• Prepare progress reports, update contract portfolio database and support contract close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in contract administration and expediting.
• Strong knowledge of industry practices, legislation, FIDIC contracts and contractual language.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP.
