Commis 1 - Bakery - F&B Preparation

About the role

The InterContinental Dubai Festival City, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is looking for a Commis 1 in the bakery and F&B preparation kitchen. The hotel cluster includes four hotels, 16 restaurants and bars, an event centre, a spa and a festival arena, and offers a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all mise-en-place for day-to-day operation
• Maintain a healthy and hygienic work area
• Communicate politely and courteously with guests and colleagues
• Support the team with mise-en-place and storage pick-ups
• Report to the supervisor any difficulties, guest or internal customer comments and other relevant information
• Build effective working relationships with employees
• Attend daily briefings, meetings and training sessions as scheduled
• Prepare in advance the food, beverage, materials and equipment needed for service
• Clean and re-set the working area and perform related duties and special projects
• Follow hotel and department regulations, including house rules, health and safety, grooming, quality, hygiene and cleanliness

Required profile

• Similar experience working in a luxury restaurant or a 5-star hotel environment
• Strong communication skills
• Commitment to serving food of the highest quality
