About the role

Our client, a prestigious restaurant in Dubai specializing in Continental cuisine, is looking for a motivated Commis 1 to support the culinary team. The role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced kitchen and the chance to develop classic cooking techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs in preparing and cooking Continental dishes.
• Prepare ingredients, portion controls and basic sauces.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.
• Support plating and food presentation.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience as a Commis or similar position, preferably in Continental cuisine.
• Culinary Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Strong passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
