About the role
The Commis 2 supports the Cafe Belge Kitchen by preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, chop, and store ingredients; wash and peel fresh produce.
- Weigh, measure, mix, and cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test foods for proper cooking.
- Prepare cold foods, serve portions, and ensure proper temperature of appliances and food.
- Set up and break down work stations; wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Follow company safety policies, report incidents, and maintain professional appearance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
Required skills
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Food preparation and portioning.
