About the role
Sofitel Dubai Downtown, a 5-star French luxury hotel by Accor, is hiring a Commis 2 for its kitchen. The role is permanent and full-time, based in the heart of Downtown Dubai, near The Dubai Mall.
Key responsibilities
- Food preparation and cooking, plating and presentation
- Receiving and storing products properly, and rotating old and new stock
- Kitchen maintenance and cleaning while following food safety requirements
- Work with the Chef de Partie on mise-en-place production and service
- Take orders from the Chef de Partie and carry them out correctly
- Complete the daily checklist for mise-en-place and food storage
Required profile
- Creative and passionate about food and customer service
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
- Kitchen school diploma
