About the role
Prepare ingredients, cook and present food according to recipes and quality standards in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Portion, chop, wash, peel and store fruits, vegetables and other ingredients.
- Measure, mix and cook foods following recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
- Monitor food temperature, test doneness and ensure food safety.
- Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas and equipment.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
Required skills
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Food preparation and portioning.
- Food safety and hygiene practices.
