Commis 2 – Kitchen Team Member

About the role

The Commis II will support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in new restaurant outlets in Dubai, ensuring high standards of food preparation, hygiene and kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve assigned dishes while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor stock movement, place orders for your section and assist with food cost control.
• Carry out daily procedures such as temperature checks, food labeling, dating and storage.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, report hazards, and follow fire and safety procedures.
• Assist with delivery acceptance, storage, opening and closing procedures, and support other sections when needed.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional culinary experience, preferably as a Commis II or III in fine‑dining.
• Ability to work under pressure in a heated environment and for long hours.
• Strong ambition, willingness to learn and good communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Basic culinary techniques and knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Understanding of stock control, menu planning and kitchen hygiene standards.
