About the role
The Ritz-Carlton in Dubai is seeking a Commis to support the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
- Cook foods using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, ensuring quality and presentation standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment, test food doneness, monitor temperature, and maintain food safety.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and clean/disinfect kitchen areas and tools.
- Follow company safety policies, report incidents, and maintain professional appearance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related food preparation experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, lift up to 25 lb, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
