About the role

The Commis I Butcher supports the culinary team at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Sharjah by preparing and handling meat products, ensuring food safety, and assisting with daily kitchen operations. This full‑time position works on‑site in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Thaw frozen items in a controlled refrigerator environment.
• Maintain proper portioning, arrangement, garnish, and food logs.
• Monitor quality and quantity of prepared food and communicate needs during busy periods.
• Inform chefs of excess items for daily specials and update service staff on menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Technical or vocational education related to food preparation.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a kitchen or butcher environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and move objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance and adherence to confidentiality and asset protection policies.
