Commis I – Employee Canteen Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Join the Employee Restaurant team at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa as a Commis I. You will support daily food production for the resort’s staff, ensuring high‑quality meals are served in a fast‑paced, beachfront environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes following established recipes and instructions.
• Assist the Chef de Partie and senior chefs with daily food production.
• Set up mise en place according to the day’s menu requirements.
• Check ingredients, store food correctly, and follow FIFO stock rotation.
• Monitor refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas for compliance.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Keep the workstation, equipment, and surrounding areas clean and organized.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health standards at all times.
• Provide support to other kitchen sections when needed.

Required profile

• Relevant culinary qualification or proven kitchen operations experience.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lb (23 kg) and perform regular bending.
