Commis I – Luxury Resort Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Join the culinary team at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa as a Commis I. You will support the kitchen in delivering visually stunning and delicious dishes for a luxury beachfront resort.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and plate meals with an eye for presentation and taste.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and manage supplies, equipment, and waste.
• Adhere to local hygiene and cleanliness standards, ensuring a spotless kitchen.
• Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks to support the team and ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lb (23 kg), including bending and kneeling.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading recipes and measuring ingredients.
• Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Compliance with local food‑handling regulations and legal age requirements.
• Good communication skills and fluency in the local language.
