About the role
JA Hatta Fort Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic Commis II who wants to learn, grow and build a culinary career in a team focused on excellence, teamwork and memorable guest experiences. The role suits someone who loves the kitchen, enjoys working with fresh ingredients and is eager to develop their skills.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily mise en place and food preparation
- Prepare and organise workstations for service
- Help set up buffets and food displays to the highest standards
- Maintain proper storage, labelling and handling of food products
- Follow food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times
- Support the culinary team in delivering quality dishes and exceptional guest experiences
Required profile
- Culinary degree or culinary diploma
- Intermediate food hygiene certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel environment
- Passion for cooking and eagerness to learn
- Positive attitude and strong team spirit
Required skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic English communication skills
