About the role
The Commis II supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, cooking food, and maintaining a clean work environment in accordance with Aloft's standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, chop, and store ingredients; wash and peel fruits and vegetables.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test foods for proper cooking and monitor quality.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and clean and disinfect kitchen areas and equipment.
- Follow safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance needs and maintain professional appearance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive motions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
