Commis II (Kitchen Assistant)

About the role

The Commis II supports the kitchen team in delivering high‑quality food service within Accor Plus hotels in the United Arab Emirates. Working under the supervision of senior chefs, you will ensure daily preparation, stock management and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Stock the kitchen with raw materials and ingredients each day.
• Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment safely.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place and execute basic cooking methods for the assigned station.
• Follow standard recipe cards, control portions and minimise waste.
• Apply HACCP food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Clean and maintain all production equipment.
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions or equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Participate in fire, life‑safety and emergency procedures, briefings and trainings.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
• Familiarity with HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
