Commis II – Kitchen Team Member

About the role

Join the kitchen team at Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair as a Commis II and develop your culinary skills on a world‑class platform.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the highest hygiene and food safety standards in your kitchen section, following ADFCA HACCP guidelines.
• Support the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in daily operations and take full responsibility for your section when the supervisor is absent.
• Prepare food according to menu specifications, ensuring portion sizes and presentation meet outlet standards.
• Organise your section as directed by the Outlet Chef to ensure smooth operation.
• Manage inventory efficiently to minimise waste and control costs.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in the hotel industry (preferred).
• Creative and passionate about food and customer service.
• Ability to work under high pressure and as part of a cohesive team.
• Calm, courteous and focused on guest needs at all times.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards (ADFCA HACCP).
