About the role
Kempinski is hiring a Commis III for its kitchen brigade in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This is a permanent, full-time position in the kitchen sector. The Commis III prepares mise en place, handles food preparation and assists with food presentation.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare kitchen equipment for use.
- Assemble and prepare ingredients for menu items and prepare simple food items.
- Prepare food for service.
- Assist with checking, receiving and storing of goods, and maintain storage areas.
- Clean kitchen and equipment, and handle waste and linen.
- Maintain a hygienic kitchen and high standards of personal hygiene.
- Attend all briefings and participate in training; additional tasks may be added depending on business needs.
Required profile
- Polite communication with guests and internal customers.
- Familiarity with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures, and safe operation of equipment.
- Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures.
- Implementation of HACCP principles.
