Commis III – Kitchen Team Member

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commis III to join our kitchen team at The First Collection, Jumeirah Village Circle. The role involves supporting the preparation and service of hot and cold food items while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily production sheets with the Chef de Partie and ensure timely preparation of required food items.
• Delegate tasks, maintain consistency with standardized recipes, and minimise food waste through proper rotation, labeling, and FIFO practices.
• Keep work stations clean and organized, and follow opening and closing procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any deficiencies to the Sous Chef.
• Adhere to hotel and government food safety guidelines, including HACCP principles.
• Log information in the kitchen log book and communicate any issues to the Chef de Partie.

• Proactive attitude, initiative, and problem‑solving abilities to address minor obstacles.
• Desire to continuously improve culinary skills and knowledge.
• Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
