Commissioning Engineer - Instrumentation

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Commissioning Engineer in Dubai for the oil and gas sector. The role covers commissioning and integration of instrumentation systems so that they work reliably and accurately across industrial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct loop checks and function tests for instruments.
• Review and calibrate field devices and transmitters.
• Monitor system integration and interface testing.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues during commissioning.
• Prepare instrumentation commissioning procedures.
• Coordinate with automation and electrical teams.
• Keep documentation accurate and up to date.
• Assist in training plant operators on instrument usage.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant instrumentation experience.
• Experience in the oil and gas or power sector preferred.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and loop diagrams.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS and SCADA systems.
• Proficiency with calibration tools and techniques.
• Certification in relevant instrumentation standards.
