Compliance Lead

About the role

The Regulatory Compliance Lead supports the Head of Compliance in delivering Tamara’s annual compliance programme. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the role conducts risk‑based reviews, manages regulatory change and liaises with the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) on inspections, RFIs and reporting. It is a mid‑level position requiring 5‑8 years of experience in a regulated financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk‑based compliance reviews, thematic inspections and monitoring across all departments, documenting findings and remediation actions.
• Maintain the CBUAE Regulatory Notice Register, assess impact of new regulations and coordinate internal implementation.
• Support CBUAE engagements, including supervisory inspections, RFIs, regulatory walkthroughs and preparation of required filings.
• Advise business units on CBUAE Consumer Protection Standards, market conduct and product governance, and deliver compliance training.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management, board committees and the Board.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of regulatory compliance experience within a regulated financial institution, fintech or payment service provider.
• Demonstrated experience engaging with the CBUAE, handling inspections, RFIs and regulatory change management.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business or related field; compliance certification (e.g., CAMS, ICA) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, report‑writing and stakeholder‑management abilities.
