Compliance & Legal Affairs Specialist

About the role

You will serve as the regulatory and legal backbone of Zupernova’s UAE operations, ensuring full compliance with the UAE CMA Category 5 licence and the Seychelles FSA framework. The role involves building AML/KYC systems, handling regulatory reporting, and providing legal support for contracts, disputes, and regulator communications.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day compliance operations and align business processes with UAE CMA and Seychelles FSA requirements.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, including AML/CFT, KYC, client complaint handling, and product compliance guidelines.
• Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports to the UAE CMA and Seychelles FSA, and monitor regulatory updates.
• Manage licence renewals, regulatory change notifications, and ongoing liaison with regulators.
• Design and implement KYC and Customer Due Diligence processes, establish AML/CFT risk assessments, and tier client risk.
• Review Enhanced Due Diligence cases for high‑risk clients and handle Suspicious Transaction Reports.
• Draft and review core legal documents such as client service agreements, risk disclosures, privacy policies, and partnership agreements.
• Manage third‑party contracts, identify legal risks, and support client dispute resolution and regulatory investigations.
• Track FinTech regulatory developments in DIFC, ADGM, and CMA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Financial Regulation, Compliance Management or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in compliance or legal roles within financial services (CFD, FX, securities, banking, or FinTech).
• Strong knowledge of AML/KYC/CFT regulatory frameworks and hands‑on implementation experience.
• Experience preparing and submitting regulatory reports to authorities.
• Fluent written and spoken English with ability to draft legal documents independently.
