Composite Technician

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in the UAE involves preparing, constructing, and maintaining composite molds for yachts, marine products, and other advanced components.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and work instructions to build molds to precise specifications.
• Prepare plug surfaces, apply release agents, lay up fiberglass, carbon fibre, epoxy or polyester resins, and perform vacuum bagging and curing.
• Trim, sand, drill, and finish molds, ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
• Maintain and repair molds through patching, re‑surfacing, and release system application.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and optimise mould performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in composite mould fabrication, preferably in marine, aerospace or automotive environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and reliability.
• Relevant technical diploma, vocational training, or equivalent hands‑on experience.

Required skills

• Composite mould fabrication (plug preparation, lay‑up, vacuum bagging, curing).
• Materials: fiberglass, carbon fibre, epoxy resin, polyester resin.
• Technical drawing and CAD interpretation.
• Hand and power tools for trimming, sanding, drilling, and finishing.
• Mould maintenance and repair techniques (patching, re‑surfacing, release systems).
