Construction Director – High-Speed Rail (Civils & Track)

About the role

This senior position leads the construction delivery of a multi‑billion‑dollar civils and trackwork package for the high‑speed rail link between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Reporting to the joint‑venture partner, you will coordinate complex, multi‑disciplinary works across civil infrastructure, track systems, depots and critical interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction delivery from mobilisation through testing, commissioning and handover across multiple concurrent work fronts.
• Direct civil infrastructure works including earthworks, structures and viaducts, as well as track alignment and systems.
• Manage construction programme, sequencing, logistics, resources, cost, risk and performance.
• Oversee contract administration, claims, change management and risk mitigation.
• Act as senior interface with client, JV partners, consultants, subcontractors and authorities.
• Build and lead a high‑performing construction organisation, embedding strong delivery culture and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory, HSE, quality and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• BSc in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 18‑20 years of experience in large‑scale rail or infrastructure construction.
• Proven track record of delivering multi‑billion‑dollar civil and track projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
