Construction Engineer – Piping (Offshore Projects)

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer specialized in piping to support an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing all phases of piping construction, from fabrication to pre‑commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support offshore oil & gas projects during fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and pre‑commissioning.
• Review and approve piping construction drawings, isometrics, spool drawings, and work packs.
• Develop construction methodologies, execution plans, and installation procedures.
• Monitor piping fabrication, erection, fit‑up, welding, testing, and reinstatement activities.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Manage Nondestructive Testing (NDT), hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, and test package preparation.
• Track subcontractor performance, productivity, and prepare progress reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in piping construction, with at least 5 years on offshore projects.
• Proven experience in offshore PMC/EPC environments; ADNOC offshore experience is a plus.
