Construction Planning Engineer - High Rise Building

About the role

Abu Alnaga Contracting is hiring a Construction Planning Engineer in Dubai, UAE, for a high-rise building project. The Planning Engineer develops and maintains the project baseline programme, monitors construction progress and ensures milestones are met on time. The role uses tools such as Primavera P6 to support project control, reporting and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Monitor construction progress and compare actual versus planned work.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves and look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams and subcontractors.
• Support resource planning, recovery schedules and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines and contractual milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5-7 years of planning experience in the UAE or GCC, ideally on high-rise or large-scale projects.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural and MEP construction drawings.
• Strong analytical, time-management and organizational skills, good communication and a proactive attitude.
