Consultant Cardiac Surgeon – Advanced Heart Surgery (UAE)

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its adult cardiac surgery services. The centre seeks a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon to join a multidisciplinary team delivering coronary, valve, aortic and advanced peri‑operative cardiac care to a diverse international patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients requiring adult cardiac surgical intervention.
• Perform coronary, valve, aortic or other cardiac procedures according to expertise and facility privileges.
• Lead peri‑operative planning with cardiology, cardiac anaesthesia, perfusion, ICU and rehabilitation teams.
• Participate in heart‑team meetings, risk assessment, consent and outcome review.
• Manage postoperative recovery, complications, follow‑up and long‑term care coordination.
• Support quality, infection‑control, surgical registry, audit and patient‑safety programmes.

Required profile

• Internationally trained Consultant Cardiac Surgeon with recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board of Thoracic Surgery, UK CCT/FRCS Cardiothoracic Surgery, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian FRACS, Arab Board, MCh/DNB/FCPS or equivalent).
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing and facility credentialing.
• Ability to work in a modern, quality‑driven healthcare environment serving a multicultural patient base.
