Consultant Neurologist

About the role

The Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital in Sharjah is seeking an experienced Consultant Neurologist to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering comprehensive neurological care across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings, supporting clinical excellence, education, research and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of neurological disorders, including stroke, epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, dementia and neurodegenerative conditions.
• Provide expert neurological consultations for in‑patients, out‑patients and emergency department referrals.
• Develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans and monitor patient outcomes.
• Interpret and integrate neurological investigations such as EEG, EMG/NCS, neuroimaging and laboratory results.
• Participate in acute stroke management and multidisciplinary care pathways.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, rehabilitation specialists and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Perform specialized neurological procedures within the scope of training and expertise.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with hospital and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent qualified neurologist with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing a wide range of neurological disorders.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
