About the role

A leading hospital in Dubai is seeking a Consultant to lead its state‑of‑the‑art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role involves delivering expert care to critically ill children, overseeing complex medical and surgical cases, and driving clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑acuity care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Perform advanced procedures such as mechanical ventilation, ECMO, and invasive monitoring.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals to design individualized treatment plans.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to clinical education programs.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with international care standards.
• Participate in clinical research and stay current with PICU advancements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Pediatric Intensive Care or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Western training (USA, UK, Canada, or equivalent) – mandatory.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board experience in a consultant PICU role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and family‑centered care philosophy.
• Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure.
