Contracts Manager - Data Centre

About the role

Currie & Brown is looking for a Contracts Manager with data centre experience to join its team in Abu Dhabi, working with a key client. The role covers reviewing plans, specifications and contracts, managing the contract lifecycle and supporting commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications and contracts to ensure the correct equipment, materials and subcontractor services are ordered and/or purchased.
• Maintain client relationships and deliver commercial and contract reports as required by the client.
• Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards, and review and update existing contracts.
• Explain terms and conditions to managers and relevant parties.
• Establish delivery schedules, monitor progress and contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems.
• Analyse potential risks linked to specific contract terms and help develop and implement commercial strategies.
• Work with project managers, architects, engineers and owners to meet project goals and ensure all contract deadlines and conditions are met.
• Maintain an organised system of physical and digital records.

Required profile

• Proven work experience as a Contract Manager.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Keen attention to detail and strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work with staff, managers and external partners at varying seniority levels.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of the legal requirements involved with contracts.
• Excellent writing skills.
