Corporate Lawyer

About the role

Cenorion Technology Ltd is seeking a commercially‑minded in‑house Corporate Lawyer to join the executive team. Reporting directly to the CEO/COO, you will act as the primary legal advisor for all commercial, technology and intellectual‑property matters, translating legal risk into practical business guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate SaaS subscription, licensing, terms of service, SLA, reseller, distribution and vendor contracts.
• Provide counsel on IP ownership, licensing, protection and enforcement for software and mobile device products.
• Ensure data‑protection and privacy compliance with UAE law and relevant international frameworks.
• Support product, engineering and sales teams with day‑to‑day legal advice on new features, partnerships and go‑to‑market initiatives.
• Manage corporate governance, statutory filings and compliance with UAE company law and free‑zone/mainland regulations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal and regulatory risks, escalating material issues to senior leadership.
• Oversee disputes, claims and pre‑litigation matters, coordinating external counsel when needed.
• Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks and internal legal policies.
• Assist HR on employment contracts, policies and UAE labour law compliance.
• Monitor changes in UAE and international law affecting technology, SaaS and consumer device businesses.

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB or equivalent) and admission to practice in a recognised jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience, with strong background in commercial, technology and IP law.
• Proven track record drafting and negotiating SaaS, software licensing or technology agreements.
• Working knowledge of intellectual‑property protection for software and hardware products.
• Familiarity with data‑protection and privacy requirements for SaaS and mobile‑device offerings.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UAE data‑protection law.
