About the role
The Cost Accountant will ensure the accuracy of financial figures, postings, and documents while maintaining organized records in compliance with company policies. This role supports the finance team by handling cash, invoices, and period‑end closing activities for Marriott International in Dubai.
Key responsibilities
- Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and maintain all financial files, records, cash and cash equivalents.
- Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information using journals, ledgers, and computers.
- Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute financial, accounting, and payroll reports.
- Complete period‑end closing procedures and issue bills, invoices, and account statements.
- Follow up on past‑due accounts and vendor invoices until resolved.
- Prepare daily consolidated cash deposits and document cash variances.
Required profile
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in accounting or finance.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
