Cost Control Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Control Engineer to join Global Process Systems in the United Arab Emirates. The role will oversee project expenditures, ensure accurate invoicing, and support budgeting for large‑scale oil and gas EPCI projects.

Key responsibilities

• Control and monitor total project expenditure, verifying invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Provide planning and cost‑control support, including variation reporting and milestone progress monitoring.
• Prepare and manage project schedules, WBS creation and use of a project management system to track purchases, invoicing and deliveries.
• Produce weekly and monthly cost reports and coordinate with the project management team to resolve issues.
• Attend project meetings, support customer billing processes and deliver cost‑control advice to internal teams.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent).
• 8–10 years of cost engineering experience on EPCI projects in the oil and gas sector.
• Certification in Cost Engineering or Project Management (e.g., AACE, PMI) is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
