Country Manager (MENA Region)

About the role

The Strategic Country Manager will lead RAKEZ's business development efforts across the MENA region, focusing on attracting anchor foreign direct investment (FDI) projects to Ras Al Khaimah. You will identify strategic opportunities, build a robust lead pipeline, and promote RAKEZ as a premier investment destination.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development strategy to attract FDI from the assigned territory.
• Identify and pursue opportunities in RAKEZ’s target sectors.
• Build and manage a strong investment lead pipeline through research, networking, outreach, and forums.
• Lead roadshows, seminars, webinars, and B2B missions.
• Represent RAKEZ at key industry events and exhibitions.
• Collect and analyze FDI market intelligence and trends.
• Refine targeting strategies using market insights.
• Develop and maintain relationships with investors, government, and trade bodies.
• Act as RAKEZ’s brand ambassador in the assigned territory.
• Report BD activities, pipeline status, and KPIs to management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless investor experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in business development, FDI attraction, investment promotion or international sales.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, with proven experience targeting the US market.
• Experience working with medium‑to‑large corporations and understanding complex investment decisions.
• Deep knowledge of the MENA business landscape, key industries, economic trends and regulatory environment.
• Strong network of contacts within the territory’s business community and relevant government bodies.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned country.
