Country Sales Manager - Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Distribution

About the role

The Country Sales Manager leads the commercial performance of the company's pharmaceutical and healthcare portfolio across assigned territories. The role suits a results-oriented leader who knows the pharma and medical trade well, has strong relationships with healthcare professionals, distributors and key accounts, and can build and mentor a high-performing sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Sales strategy and revenue growth: develop and run the annual sales plan to hit revenue, margin and market share targets; find new business with hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and distributors; monitor competitors and customers; drive launches of new products.
• Team leadership: recruit, coach and develop Medical Sales Representatives and Key Account Managers; set KPIs and targets; run regular reviews and appraisals.
• Key accounts: build relationships with physicians, pharmacists, procurement officers and hospital administrators; negotiate contracts, pricing and tender submissions; work with marketing and regulatory teams.
• Operations and reporting: forecast and pipeline reporting via CRM, oversee territory and call plans, ensure compliance with regulations and ethical standards (e.g. IFPMA/EFPIA), and report to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, Business Administration or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
• Minimum 5-8 years in pharma or medical trade sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Good understanding of the UAE/GCC healthcare market, regulation and distribution landscape.
• Experience managing government and private accounts, tenders and formulary listings.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
