Crane Technician - Electrical (Ad Hoc / Workshop)

About the role

EnerMech is seeking an experienced Electrical Crane Technician to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems on offshore cranes. You will focus on the Safe Load Indicator (SLI) system, performing maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to keep equipment reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on offshore cranes, especially the Safe Load Indicator (SLI) system.
• Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance and calibrations to guarantee accurate load measurements.
• Diagnose electrical faults, develop solutions to minimise downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Install, upgrade and calibrate electrical and SLI systems on offshore cranes.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and adhere to safety protocols.

Required profile

• Recognised apprenticeship or technical qualification with a vocational/technical high school diploma.
• At least 5 years of experience in crane electrical maintenance, including 3 years in a lifting equipment environment.
• Safety training certification; Compex certification is an advantage.
• Experience working to schedules, preferably in offshore or similar environments.
