Data Engineer – AI & Big Data Platform

About the role

Presight, a leading AI‑driven big data analytics company in the UAE, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will work on integrating diverse data sources into Presight’s AI platform, enabling customers to gain actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) pipelines in production.
• Perform web crawling, data cleaning, annotation, ingestion, and processing for complex data sets.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, Shell, and related tools.
• Optimize data storage and query performance across relational and NoSQL databases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide ad‑hoc data support and analytical tools.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE, information security, privacy, and governance policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional programming experience, with strong coding skills in Python, Shell, and Java.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a corporate environment.
