Data Network Engineer

About the role

The Data Network Engineer will own the full lifecycle of data network and ICT solutions delivered under AMC contracts, from implementation and configuration through advanced diagnostics, incident resolution and change management. The role is hands‑on with Cisco and Aruba switches and wireless controllers, managing SLAs, training customers and coordinating break/fix escalations under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Implement data network and ICT solutions in coordination with customers, principals, service providers and business partners, ensuring delivery meets design parameters.
• Monitor and maintain enterprise‑level network hardware and applications at customer premises, performing advanced diagnostics and health checks.
• Configure and install routers, Aruba and Cisco wireless controllers, switches, firewalls and load balancers.
• Carry out network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot‑fixes and security configurations.
• Manage end‑to‑end incident (break/fix) processes, from root‑cause diagnosis to repair or replacement of failed equipment, while meeting SLA requirements.
• Execute change‑management activities and ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, cost and quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecom, IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Valid CCNP certification in Routing & Switching.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data network, routing/switching, Wi‑Fi and security/firewall solutions.
• Proven hands‑on network engineering experience with on‑site customer support, preferably with Cisco and Aruba technologies.

Required skills

• Installation, configuration and support of switches, wireless controllers, routers, proxy servers, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols: IGMP, IPsec, VRRP, HSRP, STP, OSPF, 802.11 (Wi‑Fi) and QoS.
• Strong understanding of the OSI/TCP‑IP model and network monitoring, diagnostic and analytics tools.
• Experience with Cisco and Aruba network equipment (switching and wireless).
