Data Scientist – Higher Education Analytics

About the role

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join a leading organisation in Ajman, UAE, focused on the higher education sector. This role offers the chance to apply advanced data science, AI, and predictive analytics techniques to improve student outcomes and institutional performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy predictive models that support student retention, enrollment forecasting, and academic performance analysis.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualisations to communicate data‑driven insights to stakeholders.
• Analyse large educational datasets, including student information systems, to uncover trends and support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with institutional research and learning analytics teams to align analytics initiatives with strategic goals.
• Stay current with AI and machine‑learning advancements and apply them to education‑focused problems.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Science or related fields.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in the higher education sector is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with institutional research, learning analytics, MOHESR, or OBEF is advantageous.
