Data Scientist/Analyst – Data Modelling & BI

About the role

Provide data engineering, analytics, and dashboard development support to Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions (MAF GS). Design and optimise data pipelines, build Tableau and Power BI dashboards, and deliver analytics and machine‑learning solutions that drive data‑driven decision‑making and AI innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL/MySQL.
• Build, enhance and maintain interactive Tableau and Power BI dashboards with governed KPIs.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical assessments and develop predictive models using scikit‑learn.
• Create and deploy lightweight analytics applications and proofs‑of‑concept with Streamlit.
• Support AI, NLP and Generative AI initiatives through experimentation and prototyping.

Required profile

• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and stakeholder communication.
• Relevant quantitative degree and practical experience through internships or academic projects.

Required skills

• Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL/MySQL.
• Tableau, Power BI and advanced Excel for KPI definition and monitoring.
• Exploratory data analysis, statistical techniques and machine‑learning concepts (feature engineering, model development, evaluation).
• Streamlit for analytics prototypes; familiarity with Hugging Face and NLP frameworks.
• Version‑control and collaborative tools: Git/GitHub, Jupyter/Colab, VS Code, PyCharm.
