About the role

The Sharjah Performing Arts Academy is seeking a visionary Dean to lead its newly established College of Film. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Dean will shape academic strategy, oversee administration, and champion student success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the strategic vision for the College of Film in line with the Academy’s overall plan.
• Design, develop, and deliver academic programmes, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and facilities.
• Lead faculty recruitment, professional development, and research support.
• Enhance student recruitment, retention, and engagement through extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate closely with the Dean of Music, Dean of Theatre, and senior academic teams.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and documentation related to college activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in film education and academic leadership.
• Proven track record of strategic planning and programme development.
• Strong commitment to academic excellence, creativity, and inclusivity.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and facilities effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
