Demi Chef De Partie - Baker

About the role

The Autograph Collection is hiring a Demi Chef De Partie Baker in Dubai (Al Multaqa Street) for a full-time, non-management position within its Food and Beverage & Culinary category. The role covers baking, cooking and kitchen support under the chef.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and a food preparation checklist.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures; pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement and garnish, and monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared.
• Maintain food logs and inform the chef of excess food for daily specials.
• Tell food and beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items, and anticipate guests' service needs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching and discipline, and act as a role model.
• Follow company and safety policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and keep a clean, professional appearance.

Required profile

• Preferred: technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Physical demands include standing, sitting or walking for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and bending, twisting and reaching overhead.
