Deputy Chief Technology Officer

About the role

The Deputy Chief Technology Officer partners with the CTO to lead day‑to‑day operations of a global engineering organization focused on digital‑asset market making and high‑frequency trading. The role carries near‑executive authority over engineering delivery, operational resilience, organizational health, and budgeting across multiple divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Run day‑to‑day global engineering operations, own OKRs, monthly business reviews and delivery pipelines.
• Deputize for the CTO in interactions with the Board, Executive Committee and external partners.
• Lead the multi‑year consolidation of the company’s high‑frequency trading and asset‑management platforms, delivering a minimum viable product with reduced latency and faster deployment.
• Establish a unified engineering cadence across divisions, including OKRs, KPIs and delivery flow.
• Implement a centralized data governance capability with a published catalog and cross‑divisional service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with MiCA, DORA and SOC 2 regulations while controlling cloud and vendor spend.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large, globally distributed engineering teams in a high‑frequency trading or digital‑assets environment.
• Ability to translate business strategy into technical execution and operational resilience.
• Strong budgetary oversight and organizational health management.
