Design Manager - MEP

About the role

The Design Manager will lead the MEP design team to deliver HVAC, fire protection, lighting, small power, ELV, plumbing and drainage solutions for residential, commercial and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with schedule, budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and assign design activities, monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Track project schedule, prepare weekly progress reports and conduct internal review meetings.
• Maintain issue logs, manage client approvals and coordinate technical clearances for manufacturing, FAT and dispatch.
• Collaborate with the ESCO team to integrate energy‑saving measures into designs.
• Provide technical training to the design team and ensure proper documentation of design issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Post‑graduation preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of MEP design experience and at least 4 years in a managerial role within the UAE or GCC.
• Experience in residential, commercial tower and industrial projects; ESCO experience is a plus.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HAP, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, DIALux, AMTECH and CABLE PRO.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and electrical design.
• Ability to lead and develop a team of design engineers and draftsmen.
