Digital Delivery Technician – CAD Specialist

About the role

AECOM is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to produce and maintain detailed civil infrastructure drawings for sewerage, stormwater, irrigation and road projects in Dubai. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, inspectors and project teams to ensure accurate, compliant deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise and update technical drawings, layouts and as‑built documentation using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Interpret design inputs from engineers and translate them into coordinated construction drawings.
• Verify existing utility networks using as‑built records and conduct site surveys to capture accurate data.
• Coordinate drawing submissions, redline mark‑ups, pipeline profiles and shaft layouts with engineers and document control teams.
• Review contractor as‑built and shop drawings for compliance with site conditions and authority standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology or related field.
• 7‑10 years of civil infrastructure drafting experience, especially in sewerage, stormwater, irrigation and roads.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality, RTA and DEWA standards.
• Ability to manage multiple drawing packages and maintain organized digital archives.
